Approach
The location is between the Floridsdorf and Brigittenau bridges, approx. 200 metres downstream after the Nordbahnbrücke/U6 bridge. The festival is just a few minutes' walk from the underground, S-Bahn and tram stations.

We strongly recommend travelling by public transport, as the car park at Floridsdorfer Brücke is usually full and there are no parking spaces at the festival site. There are a few disabled parking spaces available.

Can I pay with my EC card?
You can pay by EC card at the ticket office and at the drinks stands and bars. There is no minimum turnover. At some bazaar and catering stands, payment can also be made by EC card, but in some cases with a minimum turnover.

The Africa Days take place in all weathers. For safety reasons, we can unfortunately only allow umbrellas in the stage area to a limited extent. We recommend that you bring a rain cape, coat or hat, as we do NOT offer disposable capes on the grounds in order to avoid plastic waste.

OUR FESTIVAL IS AN ECO-EVENT
The Africa Days will also include the Environment not be neglected - they are therefore organised as an EcoEvent. Thanks to targeted measures, since 2018 we have been able to reduce many tonnes of residual waste compared to previous years. save.

HOUSE AND SITE RULES OF THE AFRICA DAYS VIENNA
By entering the area described in more detail below, visitors submit to the following house and site rules of the respective landowner, land manager and the organisers of the Africa Days Vienna. Area of application (hereinafter also referred to as "site"): public areas and event areas on the Danube Island between the Floridsdorf and Brigittenau bridges. The term "the visitor" refers to persons of both genders.

ACCESS CONTROLS AND RESIDENCE
General rules
The persons participating in the event are obliged to undergo a (possible) ID check by the supervisors/security service/organiser's security personnel before entering the event venue.
The security service/supervisors/security staff employed by the organiser are entitled to search items of clothing, bags and containers carried by participants for prohibited or dangerous objects at any time before entering the event venue.
The security service/supervisors/security staff/the organiser is/are entitled to refuse entry to the event venue to persons who may pose a security risk (e.g. due to excessive alcohol consumption or the carrying of prohibited or dangerous objects). The same applies to persons who refuse to allow their clothing, bags or containers to be searched or their ID to be checked. In individual cases, the security service/supervisors/security staff/organiser is/are also entitled to carry out such checks on persons participating in the event who are already in the event venue.
In the event of violations of the house or site rules, the organiser/security service/supervisors/law enforcement personnel/officers of the Vienna Police Department are entitled to expel the offenders from the venue.
All visitors must leave the event venue as quickly as possible after the end of the event day.
YOUTH PROTECTION
In addition, the Vienna Youth Protection Act as amended applies to the entire venue.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
§ Section 18 (1) of the Vienna Events Act 2020 (in particular endangering the life and health of people, endangering operational safety).
Prohibited in particular are:
- Weapons of any kind (a weapon is any particularly dangerous weapon used to threaten
life or limb); - Objects that can be used as weapons or projectiles;
- Gas spray cylinders or pressurised containers for highly flammable or harmful gases, with the exception of commercially available pocket lighters;
- toxic, corrosive or colouring substances or objects;
- Glass containers, bottles, cans, plastic canisters, hard packaging or other objects made of glass or any other fragile, splintering or particularly hard material;
- pyrotechnic articles and sets, such as: Fireworks, smoke bombs, Bengal fires etc.;
- mechanically or electrically operated noise instruments (e.g. megaphone);
- Laser pointers, whistles, gas tubes;
- Pepper sprays and tear sprays;
- large or bulky objects such as ladders, stools, (folding) chairs, boxes, large bags, rucksacks, camelbacks (hydration packs), suitcases;
- Bicycles, skateboards, snakeboards, inline skates, scooters, kickboards, Segways and similar vehicles;
- racist, xenophobic, national socialist, sexist or political propaganda material.
In case of doubt, the classification of objects as prohibited or permitted within the meaning of these house or site rules is the responsibility of the security service/ the supervisory staff/ the security staff/ the organiser and the bodies of the City of Vienna as well as the bodies of the Vienna Provincial Police Directorate. Persons carrying prohibited items within the meaning of these house or site regulations will be denied access to the event venue. If persons are found in the event venue with prohibited items, the organiser/security service/security staff shall be entitled to expel the persons concerned from the event venue.
TRANSPORT OF ANIMALS/PARKING OF DANGEROUS ANIMALS
The parking of bicycles, electric scooters, Segways or similar vehicles in the event venue or the securing of these to superstructures, fences, barriers, etc. represents a safety risk and is prohibited/is only permitted in the designated areas. In the event of non-compliance, the vehicles may be removed by the security service/ the supervisors/ the stewards/ the organiser at the expense of the offender and stored by the organiser.
BEHAVIOURAL INSTRUCTIONS DURING THE EVENT
All persons entering the event venue must behave in such a way that other persons are neither harmed, endangered nor harassed. Furthermore, they must behave in such a way that no damage is caused to structures, facilities, equipment or objects.
USE OF THE FACILITIES IN THE EVENT VENUE
Canes and other walking aids (e.g. rollator) may only be carried by frail persons as an indispensable support.
Smoking/vaping of (tobacco) products is prohibited in the entire event venue/the rooms or tents accessible to visitors.
Cigarettes may only be disposed of in the ashtrays provided for this purpose in the outdoor area. Waste, packaging materials and empty containers are to be disposed of exclusively in the waste containers provided in the event venue. Empty reusable cups are to be returned to all catering stands against reimbursement of the deposit paid.
