African cuisine
African cuisine is as diverse as the continent itself. Couscous, falafel and plantain have long since conquered Europe, but who has ever tried akara, suya, dundun, bissap, imboga, lengalenga or igishue? There are many delicacies to discover at the African bazaar. And if you want to try African cuisine for yourself, you'll find everything you need at the bazaar.

Beer garden
Im Biergarten sitzt man gemütlich und kann die afrikanischen Spezialitäten in lebendiger Atmosphäre bei Live-Trommelklängen und spontanen Tanzeinlagen genießen. Neben der afrikanischen Küche gibt es an den verschiedenen Bars ein großes Angebot an gut gekühlten Getränken und nicht zuletzt Tee- und Kaffee-Spezialitäten.

Cairo Corner" tea tent
Fresh mint tea and delicious desserts, accompanied by oriental sounds and a water pipe, you'll feel like you're on holiday.
CHILL & EXPERIENCE
Daily changing programme items such as dances and drum performances, Shows and Workshops provide entertainment and bring the African culture and tradition näher. >> Supporting programme.

Sahara tent: hot rhythms - cool drinks
In the Sahara tent, you can enjoy the African zest for life with chilled rhythms, live drumming and spontaneous dance interludes. Every day Shows which offer a diverse insight into the world of African music, rousing drumming and traditional dances. Until late into the night Club sound celebrated by hip scene DJs. On Sundays, the Brunch with free beer, live music and African specialities instead.

Kilimanjaro Bar
The elevated position provides a clear view of the festival site and the main stage. Relax with yoga, experience the energising atmosphere of capoeira and listen to exciting talks, stories or book presentations. Nice and cool and shady in the afternoon, cosily lit in the evening. Perfect for a summer's day in Vienna.

Cairo Square
A little away from the hustle and bustle of the festival with a view of the Danube. This is a great place to chill out. Even in the afternoon, there is still a gentle breeze coming up from the river. Immerse yourself in the world of dance with exciting dance workshops and marvel at the fascinating Tanura performance and the art of Taekwondo. The perfect place for the Blue Hour with Dejah and Philipp (daily except Sun, 17:00).
FAMILIES & KIDS
In the children's area Families with Children get creative every day and Stories, at the Handicrafts and Making music relax. Pony or camel rides are an adventure. Stöbert einfach mal durch das gesamte Kinderprogramm.>> Children's programme

Children's tent
Handicrafts, painting, weaving, making music ... the daily changing creative children's programme allows connections between our culture and African life to be seen, felt and experienced in the spirit of the Africa Days. Here, our young visitors can be creative without being disturbed.

Storytelling tent
You open a book and the book opens you. Children's author Patrick Addai reads and tells lively stories from his books, accompanied by drumming, dancing and singing. African stories for all ears.

Camel and pony rides
Experience the Danube Island from the back of a camel or pony this year.
Time: daily depending on the weather, in very hot weather or heavy rain there are no camel and pony rides.
