Celebrate and do good! Together strong for Africa!
The Africa Days Vienna are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year! And that doesn't just mean lots of Music, dance and joie de vivrebut also the opportunity to do something good. At the Charity MondaysAugust 12, August 19 and August 26, 2024, admission is free, but the organisers are asking you to come along under the motto "AUSTRIA FOR AFRICA" for voluntary donations directly to the aid organisations working on the site.

NGOs on the festival site
The Africa Days Vienna are not only a celebration of African culture, but also an opportunity to work for a better world. Together for Africa! With your support, we can do something together for Africa and the people there. In addition to the music and the colourful hustle and bustle on the festival grounds, you will also find stands from NGOs that are committed to Africa and the people there. The participating NGOs include
- Médecins Sans Frontières Austria
- StoP - Neighbourhoods without partner violence
- Femondial - Associations for the support of women worldwide
- Fair & Sensitive - Police and Africans
At the stands, you can find out about the work of the NGOs and support them with a donation or your commitment.
Saving lives - day after day: Médecins Sans Frontières
This year, the Africa Days Vienna are particularly supporting the organisation "Doctors without borders". This year, the association will not only be represented with an information stand on the festival site, but will also provide information in two lectures about the work in Kisen areas. Afterwards, the speakers will be happy to answer your questions.

APPEALS FOR DONATIONS 2024
Doctors without borders is a medical aid organisation that is active worldwide when human lives are threatened by conflicts, epidemics, disasters or a lack of healthcare. Médecins Sans Frontières stands up for the right of all people to medical aid, draws public attention to grievances or forgotten crises and remains independent, neutral and impartial.
Mary's Meals Austria feeds more than 2.4 million children in 17 of the world's poorest countries every day thanks to the support of countless people. For most of the children, Mary's Meals' school meals are the only food they eat each day. They enable them to attend school and gain an education. Today, food and education are seen as the key to escaping the spiral of poverty and hunger in later life.
The Fair & Sensitive Association aims to promote a sense of unity in Austria and thus make a contribution to increasing internal security in Austria. The organisation works on a non-partisan and non-denominational basis and is active throughout Austria. People from different ethnic and religious backgrounds, including police officers, have been working together since 2000 for a better TOGETHER in order to promote a sense of WE and INCLUSION.
