Bei den Afrika Tagen soll auch die Environment not be neglected - they are therefore organised as an EcoEvent. Durch gezielte Maßnahmen konnten bei dem Festival 2018 im Vergleich zum Vorjahr knapp vier Tonnen Restmüll eingespart werden.
So werden Reusable cup and Reusable crockery verwendet, um Abfall zu vermeiden. Getränke werden aus Returnable bottles or Dispensing systems ausgeschenkt. Bei den Speisen wird darauf geachtet, ein großes Angebot für VegetarierInnen bereitzustellen und regionale Zutaten zu verwenden. Aufgrund der guten Accessibility of the event location mit den Öffis werden die BesucherInnen in der Ankündigung dazu aufgefordert, öffentliche Verkehrsmittel zu nutzen.
Wir möchten das Festival weiterhin ökologisch, nachhaltig and sozial gerecht gestalten. Bitte unterstützen Sie uns, dieses Ziel zu erreichen!

Visitors
- Please do not take plastic bottles and cans onto the site

Exhibitors/Caterers
- Take-away packaging: Do not give out plastic packaging! Use cardboard boxes. Use cellophane film for wrapping
- Do not buy goods in plastic bags, instead use cloth bags or reusable fruit and vegetable bags
- Do not buy fruit and vegetables packaged in plastic. Continue to inform suppliers that fruit and vegetables will only be delivered in wooden crates or reusable crates
- Im Stand nur Mehrweg-Geschirr, Mehrwegbecher und Besteck benutzen. Kein Geschirr aus Mais, Bambus oder anderen Naturprodukten
- Do not use portion packs for ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise
- Only serve fries on reusable plates or in paper bags
